Hey friends, over the past couple of months we did something BIG. We just created a brand new space of our own in Los Angeles. A 5000 square foot warehouse, our dream print shop.
Some might call it a move, but there were semi trucks involved. There were forklifts. We tunneled deep into the molten core of the earth to create adequate drainage. We rewired half of LA to craft the space. We built a darkroom for our exposure unit that would make Nosferatu proud. We moved literally tons of equipment, but Move isn’t a big enough word.
This change is exciting, humbling and thrilling in equal parts. We know this world we live in is moving fast… drone deliveries and self driving cars. Automated AI generated art and push button digital printing.
The truth is, Sticker Robot is a different beast. While we offer digital options, we are analog in a digital world. We might be one of the last true screen printing sticker companies on the planet. We believe in quality first and making stickers that will last forever. We prefer mixing ink by the bucket and we strive to produce the highest quality stickers on the planet.
We genuinely LOVE the art of screen printing. We are hedging our bets that our customers do as well.
It’s 2024 and we are manually screen printing and cutting stickers with hand-formed dies. This is an ancient print method. It’s labor intensive and human-driven and while it makes an absolutely superior sticker, it’s A LOT of work and we’re probably straight up bananas too…
Running a small manufacturing business in California is not for the faint of heart. But we live and die by silkscreen and we are so incredibly proud of this small and mighty team bringing life to the craft.
So this is just a love letter from us to you. Thank you for sharing in the love of art and making. This journey is scary sometimes as a small business, but your ongoing support and friendship is everything.
