10 Questions with Heavyweight Silkscreen Poster and Sticker Artist, Tyler Stout

On a regular basis we’ll ask a new sticker artist a series of 10 questions. To keep things simple and to engage in a deeply philosophical, long term case study of the scientifically complicated “Sticker Artist’s mind,” we’ve decided to leave the questions the same every week.

Tyler Stout is an awesome poster artist, an exceptional illustrator, an absolute cinephile and as it turns out, a pretty damn nice guy. Oh and it just so happens, he’s a bit of a silkscreen sticker fanatic too…

Help Make “HONOR THE TREATIES” The PBS People’s Choice Winner!

Honor the Treaties examines photographer Aaron Huey’s work for Native American rights on the Pine Ridge Reservation. The film explores the idea that journalists sometimes ‘get the wrong story.’ Using Aaron’s seven-year experience as a photographer on the Pine Ridge Reservation, we examine the idea of growth and change in relationship to telling a story. Our friend, Shepard Fairey did the graphics.

Semi-Permanent launches +20

What will happen when you put 20 emerging creative
talents & top line mentors in a room together?
http://www.semipermanent.com/partners/sticker-robot
Semi-Permanent is giving twenty creatives, irrespective of their stage of career & genre of skills, an opportunity to collaborate on a real life project, giving insights into the exciting, fast paced and meaningful projects happening at Google today.
Each participant will be invited to work with four Semi-Permanent artist mentors, four Google designers and 19 of their peers in an all day workshop in Los Angeles. The heart of +20 is collaboration, the benefits that creatives all gain from working within a group. How learning from each individual can help shape and enhance the creative process. We will be giving 20 individuals an opportunity to work with other talented creatives and also have their work guided by industry professionals.
Who knows what opportunities or ideas will come from the +20 workshop?
Kicking off what will become a series of events, +20 is calling for submissions for anyone in, near, or willing to travel to Los Angeles. The workshop will be held on 20 March, just two days before the inaugural Semi-Permanent Los Angeles event.
